Overview

Sports in Nepal, despite its history of fame in the international arenas and being widely favored by the people, some corners still have been shadowed and neglected affecting our race to the Olympics and prosperity. In this current era, to achieve this goal, a systematic and determined action plan followed by proper scientific research is required to shed light upon these neglected areas of sports. This non-governmental and non-profitable organization, Nepal Sports Research & Promotion Foundation (NESPO), is being established with the same motto of "Root to Olympics".

We aim to boost various areas of sports, from supporting potential athletes to proposing policies based on scientific research and plans in collaboration with governmental and non-governmental organizations for the betterment of the sports arena in Nepal. Further, this organization aims to take bold steps towards developing and promoting Nepalese sports in general, with the support of national and international sports experts, enthusiasts, and organizations to make these programs more effective.

Currently, the headquarters of this organization will be stationed in Kathmandu and will expand to every nook and corner of Nepal, along with the collaboration of supporting organizations in various countries outside Nepal.

प्रस्तावना :

हाल नेपालमा रहेका सर्बाधिक लोकप्रिय खेल तथा नेपालको खेल ईतिहासमा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय पदक भित्र्याउन सफल देखिएका खेलहरुका साथै ओझेलमा परेका तर सम्भाबना भएका बिभिन्न खेलहरु लाई समय सापेक्ष बैज्ञानिक तरिकाले अनुसन्धानात्मक र खेलबिज्ञान को मर्म अनुसार दृधनिस्चित कार्य योजना सहित बिश्व खेलजगत संग प्रतिस्पर्धि खेलाडी उत्पादनमा मुलुकमा रहेका सरकारी तथा गैरसरकारी संस्था हरुसंग हातेमालो गर्दै मुलुकको खेलक्षेत्र तथा “ ओलम्पिक “ अभियान लाई समेत टेवा पुर्याउने प्रयासका लागी निजि क्षेत्रको पनि सलग्नता लाई अपरिहार्यता ठानी "Root to olympic" (“जरा बाट ओलम्पिक”) भन्ने मूल नारा का साथ गैर नाफामुलक संस्था "नेपाल खेलकूद अनुसन्धान तथा प्रवर्द्धन प्रतिष्ठान" (Nepal Sports Research & Promotion Foundation )- NESPO स्थापना गरिएकोछ /

यस संस्था को मूलउद्धस्य नेपाल सरकार ले अङ्गीकार गरेको खेलकुद नीति तथा खेल बिकासमा चालिएका कदम हरुलाई सघाउ पुर्याउदै निजिक्षेत्र , व्यावसायिक प्रतिष्ठान, प्रदेश तथा स्थानीय सरकार का साथै नेपाल सरकारको कानुनको परिधिमा रही प्रचलित बिभिन्न खेलकुद (School sports, Social Sports, Amateur Sports, Elite Sports) का साथै पर्वतीय तथा पर्यटकीय खेलकुद (Leisure Sports) को समेत बैज्ञानिक अनुसन्धान,प्रबर्द्धन तथा प्रदर्शन मा सहयोग पुर्याउन मुलुक भित्र र मुलुक बाहिर रहेका नया - पुराना अनुभबी खेल बिज्ञ,खेलकर्मी,खेलप्रेमीहरु समेत लाई गोलबद्ध गर्दै स्वदेशी तथा बिदेशी दात्री संस्था हरुसंग समेत सहकार्य गर्दै खेलबिज्ञान को मर्म अनुरुप अझ प्रभावकारी तरबले नेपालमा खेलकुदको अनुसन्धान , प्रबर्द्धन र बिकाश गर्नु रहेकोछ / हाल लाई काठमाडौं उपत्यकामा केन्द्रीय कार्यालय रहने यस प्रतिष्ठानले आफ्नो उद्धस्य पूर्तिका लागि सम्बन्धित प्रदेश तथा स्थानीय सरकारको अनुमतिमा क्रमसः स्थानीय तथा प्रदेशस्तरिय संरचना हरु निर्माण गरने र नेपाल बाहिर बिभिन्न मुलुक हरुमा समेत सहयोगी संस्था हरु संग सहकार्य गर्नेछ /
